First Baptist Carlsbad is committed to making Christ known in our community, across New Mexico, and throughout the world.

Local Missions

Through local partnerships and outreach ministries, we seek to demonstrate Christ’s love and share the Gospel throughout Carlsbad.

Carlsbad Outreach Center

We support the Carlsbad Outreach Center through food donations, financial giving, and volunteer service. You can help by donating canned goods and nonperishable foods or by serving clients, processing donations, and sharing the hope of Christ.

White Christmas Food Baskets

Each December, our church provides food boxes for families throughout Carlsbad. Volunteers help pack and personally deliver the boxes, sharing practical care and the love of Christ during the Christmas season.

Upward Basketball & Cheerleading

Upward engages children and families throughout the Carlsbad community through basketball and cheerleading. Each practice and game day combines physical activity, encouragement, and opportunities to share the Gospel.

Operation Christmas Child

Each year, our church packs shoebox gifts and serves as a Carlsbad-area drop-off location. These boxes provide children worldwide with toys and essential items while creating opportunities for them and their families to hear the Gospel through The Greatest Journey.

Fall-a-palooza

Each fall, Carlsbad churches work together to provide a safe, family-friendly community event with games and prizes. First Baptist members support this outreach by donating candy and volunteering their time.

Trunk or Treat

Each October 31, our church welcomes families for decorated trunks, candy, free food, and drinks. Volunteers also distribute Bibles, creating an opportunity to serve our community and share the Gospel.

Christian Women's Job Corps

Organized by Church Street Church of the Nazarene, this free program equips women with workplace and practical life skills. First Baptist members serve as leaders, prepare meals, and support participants as they build confidence and prepare for employment.

New Beginnings Caring
Pregnancy Center

New Beginnings supports women and families with baby clothing, diapers, educational classes, and pregnancy-related services. Each spring, our church supports the center through the Baby Bottle Drive, collecting donations to help continue its work in the Carlsbad community.

New Mexico Baptist Disaster Relief


New Mexico Baptist Disaster Relief equips volunteers to serve communities affected by disasters through emergency feeding, cleanup, childcare, crisis response, and other practical ministries. Members of First Baptist Carlsbad have served on deployments throughout the United States.

Christian Challenge



Christian Challenge ministers to college students on campuses throughout New Mexico. First Baptist Carlsbad supports students participating in its ministries and mission trips as they grow in their faith and share the Gospel with others.

International Missions

Kit & Stacy Klein


Kit and Stacy Klein and their children serve with the International Mission Board in Great Britain. As members of First Baptist Carlsbad, they are supported through prayer, mission partnerships, and the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.

Belize


First Baptist Carlsbad regularly sends mission teams to partner with churches in Belize through community outreach and practical service projects. Team members have helped with roofing, plumbing, painting, maintenance, and other ministry needs.
